The most recent aquisition to the collection is this nice and original WD B40 GB Mk1 rolling chassis. Sadly the engine (Matching) was removed by the previous owner to build a competition machine.(very sad in my view. But I would say that!)
This WD B40 was aquired a few years back from a furniture auction and was used on the road until the decision to use the engine was taken.
I can tell from the registration plate it was registered in the Peterborough area 18 years ago and somehow over the years found its way to rural Somerset.
A complete motor has been acquired, which is only 5 numbers away from the original engine, so this GB will be back "in service" in 2010. The rebuild has started and progressing.
